I was told that the Jacobs sheep wool isn’t used very often for some reason. Something to do with the fact that it’s an old breed I think… I think the roving is quite nice actually. It’s softer than the pale stuff – I wish I could remember what it was called. It’s going to bother me until I figure it out.

Beautiful! I just came across pictures of Jacobs sheep. They look weird because they can have up to six horns! It kind of freaked me out. It just seemed so WRONG. But they are spotted. Like a brown and white cow, which I thought was really cool!

And that cotton candy bamboo looks melt in your mouth soft!

Looks like a good haul.

I am rather fond of the first one too, then again I was tickled when I figured out I could actually make a top hat and it look good. In order to make the first one sturdier I would have to add something to it or change the stitch pattern. That’s why I wanted to see how the felting would work.

You should try teaching BOYS to crochet. Mine can chain and do sc. J likes it way better than B…but neither will admit openly they can do it.

I am about to finish a hat. I like hats, but I suck at them. Even when I use smaller hooks they come out WAY too big..
